anyone here play?
I was on beta and now the game has officially launched.
Im east server, vanu soverence? cant remember the name.
I was surprised at the scale of the game. a friend of mine told me about it and I like it alot, esp its free. Its a futuristic battefield 3 on roids. There are 3 continents you can spawn onto each has different layout and environment.i noticed one of the continents cycles day and night time. A lot of land , air vehicles.
The gameplay is area control, you have a few buildings with aa guns and launch pads that you can control in each region of the large continent. from most bases you can launch air vehicles, land and change class. the larger bases have the air. each team has a main base on corner of map, total of 3 teams to choose from when you create character. to capture you have to "hold" the territory untill the bar fills with your color.
I play as a infiltrator. (sniper)

I was in a ton of beta as well. I'm currently downloading the game all 6gb of it. I'm playing with my "guild/clan/groupofonlinebuddys" as NC in the east coast server waterson.
I got a bunch of new computer parts in, i hope to be running this game max settings and still getting 50+ fps always.
I currently have (going to be replaced) GTX460, 4g ram, amd965, ect. All i'm going to say is i bought a 1200w power supply.

Actually, i launched the game last night and it was running amazingly smooth. I was shocked. There is a difference between beta and the real game i can tell for sure. That OR there was just less people in the game, i was in a pretty populated area.

Desktop Ivy Bridge. Intel Core i7-3770K and Core i5-3570K Processors Review. Page 6 - X-bit labs
But like I said if you do a lot of application stuff i7 is the chip to have but for gaming is not worth the cash.

I don't need to run word documents. I have a big cache and a fast HT to run one big videogame.
lol
Not starting world war three here. It is what it is.

Newegg.com - ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Ordered it while it was $150 shipped, no rebate needed. Was an impulse buy and likely to send it back from a z77 chip board.
Update, Nvm, the board being shipping is the revised z68 or 2.0. Will run 3ed gen CPUs and PCIx3 th same as a z77

Nice. We're going to be running almost identical specs in the grand picture.
So the ivy bridge runs pretty dang hot from what i hear (compared to sandy) you going to use an aftermarket cooler. Or just stock?

Yeah that pushes the air towards the back of the case. Or at least somewhere.
I have a bit of hate for the fans that just sit on top and don't really push air anywhere. Those things don't belong anywhere but the trash. IMO.

I'll play some if you guys are down to chat and strategize. I got tired of playing alone and running around, but had a blast when playing with 1 or more friends.
Also, how much of an improvement was there on the IVY bridge vs Sandy bridge? If i watned to upgrade processors, whats the cheapest one i should go for? I have an i32120 sandy bridge atm.
