So I've used my 144hz 24" panel, an ultrawide 34" panel, VR, big screen TV, and VR is by far the best if you're racing for less than an hour. After an hour you gotta pull the thing off your head and relax for 15 minutes. Next would be the ultrawide. But FPS gaming on the ultrawide sucks. That's best on my high refresh 24". In my opinion it all depends on what you are going to do majority of the time.
when racing I found it rare to really need the extra FOV that you wouldn't get from an ultrawide. VR is just awesome for immersion.

Majority of the time will likely be sprint racing. As much time as I've spent off from iRacing and very little real-time track stuff means its going to take a bit to get back to putting together decently quick, clean laps consistently.

I think I'd like the endurance stuff as well since I tend be a slower, consistent, less aggressive driver that pays off when you need to just put in clean laps.

And of course, for other games, I'm sure there is a way to set it to only play the game in the center monitor?

Went to play a solo match tonight. The game crashed about 10 minutes in. Then I restarted, hopped on my bike, and tried to get back into the playzone before I bled out from the blue. I hit a hill wrong, got flung off the bike and died. No more pubg tonight.
