What gaming keyboards do you guys mash?

Recently just picked up a Logitech G513 with the mx-blue mechanical switches. Coming from my old Logitech G15, it's night and day for this being my very first mechanical keyboard.

No complaints so far, quick response with typing. The old KB was membrane, I only kept it for so long due to the LCD screen built in and it just 'worked' for the type of games I played but I decided to go ahead and make the 'switch' lol.

I figured, since the LCD is still functional, maybe I can extract it and mount it inside through the window on my soon to build pc. It'll use the logitech software I'm already using and display msi afterburner stats of the CPU/GPU.

Currently on the new G513, I setup the orange color as my old G15 on the keypress setting. Whenever I hit a key it lights up a bright teal and slowly fades back into the orange. I've never had this, I feel spoiled at this point lol.

Corsair k70 (mx reds) to clash with my roccat mouse and hyperx mousepad.
Super solid keyboard, corsair's software gives you a ton of freedom as far as effects, looks and feels of quality (brushed aluminum, braided cables), wrist rest is decent but i wouldnt consider it much of a selling point. The volume wheel is the bees knees and it has a USB passthrough.
Sometimes the keyboard can get finicky though, from time to time it wont load up my profiles or be recognized by corsairs software. Its also a bit bright, the lowest setting is too much in a dim room imo.
It was a little pricey at the time, but i feel like i got what i paid for and i like it. 9/10

Logitech uses romer-g switches, not cherry-MX.

I have a k840 and it seriously sucks. I hate mechanical keyboards, especially for gaming. I love my k740. Been using it for 10 years. I type faster and game much better with it. My fingers & wrists don't get fatigued as easy. And that's coming from someone who adds weights to their g502.

I just picked up a ducky shine 7 with brown keys, switching from blues, I don't miss them.

Browns are honestly some of my least favorite switches, other than linear stuff. I like clears for typing and not annoying coworkers, but at home I use greens. Theyre damn noisy but work well for me and my fat fingering of keys.

I didn't need or want clicktastic clicks and i like the rate change and lightness. I don't mash per se, so I like a light touch with some feedback.

I got myself a max keyboard sample kit and played with that before picking. I'm happy.

I have a Corsair k70 with brown switches and the wife has the same keyboard but with Red switches.

I like the browns because of the feedback. I kept bottoming out the reds which made a stupid amount of noise...

The Corsair software sucks noodles but the hardware is great. I have their mouse and the wife has mouse and headset. All good quality.

I should bust your balls about not running a name brand proven component for your set up and tell you how much better the more expensive alternatives are...

But I realize you don't need to drop $150+ on a keyboard for your "street build" :giggle:

Filco Majestouch Otaku Mechanical.

Simple design, all the keycaps are blank, has n-key rollover. I went with Cherry MX Browns for the switches. Been using this thing for a long time now with no problems or noticeable signs of wear.

This intrigues me. I have interest in keeping idiots and children off of my home desktop.

It will do that.

As well as broadcast to anyone who sees it that you've never known the touch of a real woman. Which, i understand comes hard to parse in conjunction with the "children" part, but i'm sure it's retro-actively applied.

I have the Logitech G910 at home. I have the IBM model M with a PS2 to USB adapter at work. I love the tactile feel. It's heavy, you could beat someone senseless with it. My supervisor hates the sound of it, which is a plus. ;)

Microsoft Sidewinder - its membrane, but works well. I like the feel of mechanical, but the sound is stupid loud for late night gaming in my household.

Interesting enough, my Logitech G15 started acting up and not responding. Good thing I was in the market for a new keyboard.

I picked up a Logitech G513 with mx-blue keys. It's definitely an upgrade over the G15 membrane keys.

Tons of fancy RGB stuff that I'll never use. I ended up making the key color the same as my G15 and added an effect of when the keys are pressed they turn a bright teal and slowly fade back to orange.

Pretty nice.

Do you feel ok?

Well then. I'll be sure to notify Logitech's marketeering department :giggle:
