$75k miata....again
Hasn't this piece of shit been around for years? I remember seeing it on FM's site once before. I also remember once before that the wheels were actually dipped in gold or some shit. $75k....? I say BS x 10. :giggle:

75K is likely low! I hear that purple anodized charge pipes run $400 an inch. The "roll bar", guaranteed to fold in 1/2 in event of an accident, was another $5500 since it's made of an extremely rare titanium, plutonium alloy. Most important is the highly absorbent cherokee hair floor mats.
Maybe he meant $7500. What's an extra 0 between friends? |
I bet the wood trim around the radio and shifter cost a pretty penny, too.
|
If he spent 75,000$ on that, hes a complete and total fucking moron. I dont see ANY way possible to spend that much with what I see in pictures... Unless he spent 60,000 for that "roll bar" mousetrap piece of shit.

15V...sweet, I'll take two.
|
I guess I've already spent $250K in mine then! :giggle:

That thing has been making the classified "rounds" for about 10 years now. It was on the FM website for about 5 years, and it pops up randomly in very strange places on the internet "for sale".
There are a couple of past threads floating around here about it. https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/showthread.php?t=13837 https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10397 |
good lord that thing is hideous!

Here is one of those things in life I just do not get... again. Why would you spend $75000 on your miata? And why is it still ugly? I am confused...
|
I dont know guys, Do you realize how much work was done to make it 15 valves over the normal 16 valves. I just can't imagine the increased performance
|
Oh snap, my old car is still for sale? Don't hate; the 24K dip was mad $$$
|

He did alot of the work himself. His billing rate is $1k/hr. Time is money, you know.
|
Ray,I don't even think a Champ car or Nascar team charges 1K/hr for labour.
|
if that car isnt worth all that money than i dont know what is
|
That's worth about 75000 Sri Lanka Rupees, or about $700 USD
|
Haha.
lawls at Seller joining e-bay 2 days ago... They want 17K for it in AutoMart...good luck with that. http://www.yorkford.net/Auto_Mart_Pa...York745A34.pdf |
he was "expecting 500 rwhp" according to his CR thread. fucking idiot.

I actually just met the guy who built the car this evening. He was quite a nice guy, and talked to me about all the work he went through the get the car where it is. I'm not saying I support his choices- but he was very knowledgeable about cars/miatae and has gone through a lot of different set ups. He owned the car back in the design phases of the FM kits, where he said he actually sat down with the designers to talk about what parts to choose for the original FM kit. He then moved on and built up a monster of a car with a giant turbo and all that.
Once again- I'm not saying he made the best or most efficient choices, but he at least knew what he was doing and what he was getting himself into. |
