Alternator not charging//battery and alt are good
helloo..so heres the run down..
my turbo miata with a MSPNP2 ecu is only getting 11 or so volts..its running funny and it killed my battery but the most distinctive thing it does is when i give it gas (free rev) it passes the point of idle and just dies instead of returning to idle. it will idle okay otherwise..
now, ive replaced the alternator (previous bench tested bad) and still am getting the same results..
this all started happening after some faulty wiring for the turn signals and headlights ground out and burned the wires connected to the positive terminal..
any ideas?

Yup, we can't do **** without the year of your car, big difference.
And yes, always have a parts store alternator bench tested directly out of the box before leaving the store. I'd say the same about batteries, but I don't think I've actually heard of one of them being bad.
