1.8 swap into 90, what to do about CAS

Finished up the swap tonight and went to begin connecting everything back together before i called it quits and got stumped when i got to connecting the CAS in. The stock harness doesnt seam to be long enough to reach the new location of the CAS.

Would cutting and splicing an inch or two of wire into the harness effect readings?

wtf does everyone do?

anything else that i might run into while im in there?

I've never relocated a CAS, but uhm.. If you do it 'professionally' I'd assume extending the harness wouldn't be a problem. Technically I've extended my CAS wiring 18" with my "boomslang" harness.

You can cut and splice the CAS harness with no problems. Just do a clean job of it and keep the wires at some remove from the ignition coils (to reduce noise) and there should be no issues. The signal out of the CAS is just a plain old 5v squarewave, not some fiddly analog waveform. FM's 1.8 conversion kit includes a few lengths of wire and some butt splices for this very purpose.
