Before I touch the boost controller, I put the intercooler, 305cc injectors, and a bipes unit,12.1 fmu and no wideband, what degree timing do I set it too and am I ok to turn the little knob that I have been wanting to turn for a very long time?

Without a wideband, you don't turn the little knob at all. No amount of timing retard is going to save your motor when you run dangerously lean @ 10psi with 305cc injectors

Im not saying it was correct but I ran 10psi with that setup for almost a year with no problems. Im also not saying that you will not have any problems, but... it did work.

ok so i need a wide band, ok is this one good AEM Analog Wideband UEGO Gauge o2 Controller 30-5130W:eBay Motors (item 150379649704 end time Oct-14-09 11:13:22 PDT)

yea its good, but alittle more research wouldve told you that :squint:

That one is very good, many of us use it or the LC1. I ran basically the same setup for a bit thinking "I was good", turned out once I installed the wb I was running very lean due to a line rupture in the fuel tank. It saved my motor, your results may vary.

The AEM isn't bad, but I personally found the LC-1 with XD-16 to be both faster-responding and more consistent on the analog output.

chris824 10-13-2009 04:49 PM

the difference between the aem and the lc1 is that the lc1 reads faster?
