10AE Rescue and Restoration
4 Attachment(s)
Recently, i found a 10AE that needed a rescue, I've since fallen totally in love with it. The car is a 144K mile, one owner, lady driven car. Number 6140 / 7150. I purchased it for $1500. All it needed was a differential. The owner of the car made me promise it would go to a good home. Damnit i think that home is mine. Pictures of the day i bought it below.

Found a 4.3 Ratio torsen type 2 in my area for $300 (score). I love the combo of the 6 speed and the 4.3. Rebuilt the shifter while i was at it.

Took some time and gave the car a deep clean (so much cat hair inside lol).

Future plans
The car is going to be getting a hard top, FM coilovers, and a nice set of gray Enkei 15x8 wheels, courtesy of a parts I've had sitting around for almost a year. If anybody would be interested in trying to restore the factory wheel, shit knob, and boot, please let me know.

Looks like you had a hell of a deal!

Looks great!
I've always been terrified about pressure washing my engine bay. |
its probably not one of my better ideas, a smart person would have at least tried to put something over the fuse box. My method is to disconnect the battery, cover everything in wheel and tire cleaner (also a bad idea), and just go to town. after everything is clean i take a leaf blower and do my best to dry everything out. I leave the battery disconnected for a few hours after just for peace of mind.
