1990 Miata 40K miles w/ an auto locally
 

So I just sold my Turbo Miata and am looking for a new project. Miatas are hard to find where I live so I was really surprised to find one in our local paper. It is a RED 1990 only 40,000 original Miles w/ Hard top, new soft top rear window, PS, AC, and I think power windows. The car has beens stored in winters and rarely driver. The owner is a 60 year old lady and she is asking $4500 (negotiable). The catch is that the car is an Automatic Trans. Should I still buy it? If I picked it up for around $4000, sold the hardtop for lets say $750-$1000. Or if I let my G/f drive the car for a while then decided to sell it would it be a good investment. I've seen what some Miatas go for on ebay w/ low miles...is it something I should jump on?

If it's in the condition you would expect from a 40k mile garaged car, buy that bitch and put it on ebay. I bet it would draw $6500 if it looks good.
There are people who would pay a premium for a low mile, HT, auto.
