Default Driving home with Burt, COP

Anyone ever drivin 30 minutes home at about 65mph with a bad COP. One of mine blew out this morning on the way to work. No telling how many miles on these used cops. Ill be stocking up and keeping back ups in the car from now on.

Are you getting zero spark in that cyl? If you're gonna drive home with no spark, its injector should probably not be fueling it. I'd get a ride home and come back to work with a functioning one to install.

30 minutes is a long way to go on 3.5 cylinders. You're going to wash a lot of fuel into the oil and if you have a cat you'll kill it. Best to get the ride home and show up back to work with a new cop.

Went home and grabbed an extra and replaced it and it worked fine. Drove it home. I wasnt sure if the MS would keep fueling that cylinder or if I could shut of that inj and drive it home. I will be sure to keep spares in the trunk from now on.

Pull the injector connector and nurse it home. Or fix it. Whatever works for you

Pull an injector and run fueling open loop. Else it'll see the extra oxygen and run pig rich.
