Hey everyone, I am in need of knowing if I can swap everything from my 2002 smashed Miata into a 2000 pristine tub? My 2002 had been in 3 accident before I even got it. It was badly smashed up but I wanted to learn manual cheap. Well it’s been 8 years and I’ve decided to get it back on the road. Like I’ve said the body is badly damaged, beyond where I would desire to fix it. I found a really great price on a laser blue mica 2000 body what has been completely stripped. No rust no damage and great paint. I would need to swap literally every single thing over including both subframes, entire interior, even a new top. I think it would be worth it and I could also say afterwords I’ve taken off everything. I’ll also be able to inspect everything and repair accordingly. Will everything mount up the exact same?
how much can I expect it to weigh?

 

The major thing that I can think of is the NB1 lacks some of the mounts for the underfloor bracing, not a big deal and fixable anyway if you care. Otherwise, if you planning to swap everything, you are good to go.
