225/45/15 Tire Choices

I'm considering getting a set of 949 Racing 6UL's. What tires fit on them? I've been using falkens on the stock wheels, but I don't think the RT615's come in that size. Any recommendations?

Which ones 15x7,15x8 or 15x9 ?

They all fit his tire choice.

The only street tire currently out in that size is a Hankook RS2, and a toyo R1-R that should be here in a few months.

Race tires:

Hoosier A6
Hoosier R6
Toyo RA-1
Nitto NT01

+More.

15x8 or 15x7.5. My car will eventually have atleast 250whp so bigger wheels and wider tires are a must.

i run 15x7.5 konig rewind wheels wrapped in 225/45R15 Hankook RS2s. i love them.

I didn't even know about the R1-R, it looks like a good tire. Any ideas on how much it'll cost?

Emilio recommended RA-1s for mine since I'm running them on the street in above 50 degree temps usually. I'm at 230whp or so. He was out of the RS2s at the time though.

How long have the RA-1 lasted you so far, because I was thinking about running those too but they're a bit expensive. Probably worth it for the extra traction if they last a little bit.

I have 205-50-15's on my 15x8 6ul's but if i were to do it again i would go with the 225
RS2's since i have herd they are better traction on the track and don't over heat as easily. But that is because my car is a street car, If i had a track car or didnt drive my car much i would get a set of nitto nt01's.

More then the Hankook for sure. However hopefully it will be a much wider then the hankook, it is pretty small for a 225. Next to a 205 Azenis they are pretty close.

The falken's are great for the street/autox/drag, but they get greasy on a roadcourse.

For a street/track car, R-S2s are bitchin. You may find, however, that on tighter tracks you will struggle to fully utilize 220whp or more, so you may want R-comps for that situation. I'm replacing my R-S2s with NT-01s.
