255/35/18 say what?

Ever heard of someone running 255/35/18's on the rear, and 235/35/18's on the front a a NB? Well I'm doing it. Now if only those fuckers wouldnt scrub over every bump in the city. I'm thinking of rolling the fenders but the car is so mint that I would hate to mess it up. Are there any downsides to just removing the inner fenders, cause I'm not so sure the tires arent just scrubbing there. Damn. It sure looks hot, I'd hate to do away with them, even tho they arent the most performance centered choice.

I like the tire widths. I don't like the diameter. Removing the liners will just allow debris and dirt to enter more easily, some people do it cause they don't care. A professional tool to roll them and some heat should leave you with some some good clearance without damage.
Where's the pics?

the suspension will bottom out before anything hits the REAR fender liners.

removing the front helps, however you usually have to bend the bolt tabs up and away cause they're just as low as the liner.

pics please

a myspace background.

How do you do any kind of performance driving on 18s? They look too big for the car. I had 17x7s and even just switching to ultra light 16x7s made a world of difference. Nice integra though.

hustler 09-10-2007 09:03 AM

you need lambo doors.

So yea, I gave my 260lb friend a ride and the car would scrub in the rear at full throttle. It seems that the tires are rubbing on the inside lip of the fender, and a little tab where the rear quarter/bumper connect. There are now visible grooves in the tires so its time to do something before I spend $1000 for a set of tires. But I do not wanna replace the rims, the only other wheels I like are sportmax 002's but they wont clear my wilwood brakes.

Braineack 09-10-2007 08:18 PM

roll the fenders or raise the car.
