Default 3" Exhaust - Possible Enthuza Groupbuy

I'm trying to get VRS to build us a 3" mandrel bent cat back system. They're willing to do it for a minimum order of 10 units, so I'm looking for someone from the Miami area who can bring their Miata to their shop for fitting.

Initial pricing is as follows:

3" aluminized system with a Magnaflow muffler = $320 + shipping
3" aluminized system with a resonator & Magnaflow muffler = $400 + shipping

I don't have a price yet on stainless, but they usually run an extra $50 to $100 per the prices on their website.

This will be a direct bolt on system, utilizing the factory hangers, and use a short piece of exhaust pipe for the tip. They may be willing to do optional mufflers, tips, etc, but I'm not going to waste their time on details like that until we at least get the ball rolling.

VRS is familiar with the Miata, and they actually already have a 3" Miata pattern programmed into their mandrel bender from when they built some Monster Miata exhausts.

VRS has been building quality mandrel bent exhausts for a long time now. I ran one of their 3" bolt on systems on my NX2000, and was very pleased with it. Fitment was great, and installation was a breeze. I put it on by myself in under 30 minutes with my car on jackstands.

http://www.vrsexhaust.com/

Anyone game?

Thanks,
Chris

would it be any better/cheaper than what Jason at Enthuza Car can do? He can pretty much do whatever you want.

Bolt on 3" system, with all hangers, a Magnaflow muffler, and non-fancy 'piece of pipe' tip would be $320. With a resonator $400.

I think the timing is right, the Miata turbo community is finally realizing that 3" is the way to go.

I would have been in on this but I bought Fmowry's FM exhaust, but I could probably sell it to a buddy of mine. It'd be tough for me to get to Miami during the week but if they're around during the weekend it may work out.

Cat back. I'm sure they can build cat-eliminator pipes.

They're open on Saturdays, not sure about Sunday. How close are you to them? Are you looking to buy a 3" system for yourself?

wooohoo, looks like my account is working again...

Hey I'm the +1 levnubin was talking about...

I'm def very interested, but we gotta get all the details..Also I know of 1 more that might be in too...

Personally, I'd like to hear bout cat delete with the system as you described above...

I'd be glad to donate my car for some time, it can be any day..BUT might need a flatbed. Got horrific tune/open DP right now, also no tags/ins since its been sitting... But I don't need it back since its not being DD...I would want it back in a reasonable amount of time, but no real rush...

Hey Chris,
I appreciate this, and the time put in. But was wondering if you've tried to contact Jason @ Enthuza at all? jason at enthuzacar dot com

I would have gone for it if you would have said something earlier. I just ordered all the piping for my custom exhaust. I already had the magnaflow muffler that I bought from Braineack. I did talk to Jason from Enthuza last week and he wanted $470 for 3” cat back system. Shipping will be extra.

Way to go Ben. I just spoke to Jason, and he's willing to work on a group buy for us in the same price range. Nothing set in stone quite yet, as he's out of town, and won't be back in the shop until tomorrow evening. I'd rather do this through him, as he's a known quantity, and we won't have to go through the trouble of getting a car fitted.

So for now, if you guys can sit tight until probably Wednesday, I'll hopefully have some numbers for you from Jason.

Depending on the details I'm interested as well. I was planning on doing this local, but if all sounds good I might be in.

Are you guys planning on running the 2.5" downpipe to the 3' cat back?
