3 Inch Exhaust?
Kraken recently started offering their 3" exhaust separate from their turbo kit. You can configure it with a cat, resonator, muffler and whatever flange you want.
They're doing free shipping until the end of the month. I also believe they're raising prices within the next month.

They have an option for a removeable test pipe, although I suppose that's V-banded in, so it won't bolt straight up to the stock cat. Sorry, I missed that bit in the original post. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd weld the 2 bolt flange onto the test pipe end though if you wanted to.
If you don't hear back via email, they usually respond on FB messenger in a day or less.

The only time I'd consider 3" is if it was mated to a turbo system, where the other parts get replaced anyway. It's pointless for anyone to make one that bolts to the stock cat 🐈●
Hmm... I figured it would have been obvious on miataturbo.net that this would bolt to a turbo miata engine. Anyways, the requirement/hope is that it has the capability of bolting to the stock cat, or test pipe for track use, if that makes sense.
Take a minute and put your build info in your signature. But remember we can't see it on mobile. So it also helps to put that info in your first post.
Sitting here trying to guess your setup and answer a question that's easily found is a waste of everyone's time.
When I read your first post, I misread NA as meaning intended for a stock, "naturally aspirated", and asking about an OEM compatible cat-back reinforced it in my mind. I do now realize you meant 1st generation though, but I think you can see where I was coming from now.
So, just out of curiousity, is it so you can go back to the stock headers/cat for testing without removing the muffler?

Is 2.5" catback sufficient for up to 250rwhp?
Kraken did not respond via email and there is an error when attempting to message them on facebook, something about European message service being updated.
That's correct, having the ability to swap the factory cat to a "test pipe" for offroad/track use is the goal. And yes I absoltely understand the ridiculousness of bolting a 3" cat back to the stock cat.

You'll likely find just like I did, a quality straight-through style muffler will not be the limiting factor.
I have used one company's downpipe and another company's cat back and had a local exhaust shop connect the two with success. Talk to local shops about what they can build, too.
