3000 rpm idle in wet conditions.
FMII, 99 engine, 90 chassis. The car had sat for three days outside with plenty of rain. Started and idled at 3000 rpm’s did a couple of restarrts with no effect, after 10 mins of driving abruptly returned to normal. Ecu or engine compartment related? I am guessing an electrical issue, but where? Area around ECU is dry, but obviously humidity was high. Any guidencev con where to start would be appreciated. I was at work, so I could not connect the laptop to see what the TPS etc were showing.

Really we need a log to see what is going on.

As I said, it returned to normal. I would have to catch it in the act for a log to show anything, unless there is a hidden datalog I am unaware of...

Caught it in the act finally. The dashboard appears to show the idle valve and advance completly out to lunch. Which one causes which, I am not smart enough to know. As I said wet starts only. I am guessing moisrure in the idle valve, the wiring harness or in the Hydra. After warming up or a dry conditions start, idle valve sits around 30%. Any guidence welcome.
