Default Help Please - No Idle - code 01

So cruising along and it starts stumbling a bit here and there get to a light and it dies - bitchin- limp home, will run but it Won't idle just dies when you let off the pedal, getting a 01 trouble code.

Any thoughts?? I hate troubleshooting, it makes me want to kill people.

I do search, I was more interested in causes, or a troubleshotting chart path for the 01 fault code.

Sounds like what happens to me if my IC pipes have a break in them somewhere. Usually a coupler pops off. Did you check all the visuals?

Yep checked and rechecked all intercooler couplings, and pretty much anything ive touched lately. Just kind of happened all at once while cruising.

Yea, that's happened to me too many times, I could feel it right when it popped. T-bolt clamps and hairspray fixed that problem.

I did have a similar issue one other time, and it was because somehow the metal clip on the AFM cable was missing, and the connection was slowly coming loose enough to choke the car. Might be worth a check.

Hope you find the problem. I'm sure with the help of the forum you'll find it soon.

Already checked the afm, that was my first thought. Runs fine at higher rpms just dies if you let off.

Check the S shaped hose on the throttle body. I had one with a huge crack in it on the bottom, impossible to see, and it screwed up the idle.

Been there done that more than once. I've fixed 3 or 4 club members cars with that problem. I usually have a 1.6 and a 1.8 hose in my spares stock.
