6 speed w/ 1.6 clutch

im pretty sure it will work but just wanted to double-check... will 6 speed tranny work with 1.6 clutch? (yes, im thinking of swapping 6 speed along with torsen rear end from same car into my miata ;))

yes.

Why? a high performance 1.6 clutch/flywheel is lighter if you aren't throwing down a shitload of power.

Clutch is dependant on the Flywheel only..

If you are using a 1.6 flywheel you want a 1.6 clutch.
If you are using a 1.8 flywheel you want a 1.8 clutch.

I see no reason to switch to a 1.8 Clutch and Flywheel.

Does anyone know if the 1.6 and 1.8 use the same throw out bearing ?

i ordered f1 racing stage 3 clutch for 1.6 yesterday so i didnt really want to sell it then get another one for 1.8 and all that bs.

1.8 clutch and flywheel are heavier. Why add weight if you don't have to?

1.6 fly/clutch will work on a 1.8 car know 2 people running them local. so just keep your 1.6 set up sense a 1.8 is more lbs
