any difference beween canadian and usa tranny? Also isnt there a model or number on the tranny I can tell by looking at it?

6spd is 6spd. Probly a part number somewhere, but it only going to be for that piece of the tranny. I doubt there is a part number anywhere on it for the entire tranny. You can tell its a 6spd because of all the ribbing on the outside. The 5spds don't have anywhere near that much ribbing.

Does it have like a code on it the motor? Like B6,BP,etc...

I'm not at home so I couldn't tell you. The tranny is 4 hrs away.

Its not gonna have any motor numbers on it. All na, nb trannys have the same identical mounting points. The only change for the 6speed was a slightly different starter bolt pattern. You can still use a 5spd starter but only 2 bolts will go in.

the 6sp are ribbed for your pleasure on the bell housing. the 5sp are smooooooooooooooth.
