No its not.. The car itself and build might be, but thats a WHOLE Lot more power than the last time I saw that page about 5 months ago. Look at the date for his 8 second passes.

compy 04-24-2008 12:02 AM

Busted!
The video update is new, but the power increase you are referring to is not.

LOLA - 92 04-24-2008 12:30 AM

What? Doesn't even have A/C or Power Steering -

This is an automotive forum, treat it as such. Am I a prude, not by any means, but there is a time and place for such things, neither of which is on here.

johndoe 04-24-2008 08:40 AM

mormon?

levnubhin 04-24-2008 08:50 AM

Lets not make this a conversation about my avatar. If you dont like it you dont have to look at it. Just like with TV and Radio, you dont have to look or listen. I have a young child also and it is up to me to sensor things for him. It is not up to you the government or anyone else. Thats the problem with society today, nobody wants to take the responsibility, they want to put it off on someone else. If the mods want me to change it I will, otherwise it will stay.

Yeah dude you do need to get a little more work friendly with that avatar man. The dark haired girl pulling the blonde's thong over takes it a bit over the limit.

<edit> and your new NSFW text makes it look like much more is happening there, so it's probably even less work safe.

spike 04-24-2008 01:08 PM

LOLA - 92 04-24-2008 01:11 PM

We effectively hijacked the thread and everyone has forgotten about the 8-second Miata!

Splitime 04-24-2008 01:21 PM

Is it that hard to respect people wanting their car boards to be safe for work viewing?

Maybe I just need to add more names to my ignore list :(

levnubhin 04-24-2008 01:28 PM

Niiiiice one Lola. :bowrofl:

Lola, there's a 8 second miata on this thread? The only thing I see is the avatars of Levnubbin & yours.

messiahx 04-24-2008 02:06 PM

Oh the avatars aren't that bad. I'm viewing this thread while sitting in the front row of a classroom with about 20 people behind me. No one has complained yet.

And if they do just tell them that they can easily close their eyes.

Not sure why I didn't think of adblock. I just blocked the individual avatars themselves.

I wasnt using adblock, just the built in image block in firefox.

Still though, its NSFW, I wonder if there could be an option in the user cp to allow the disabling of avatars.

Yeah, just uncheck the avatar option in your user cp and you no longer have to view them.

It's not a matter of religion, but anyone with some amount of moral standing would not have that.

mrtonyg 04-24-2008 04:30 PM

Nice tip...went to "user CP" and....no more silly avatars!!!

cyee 04-24-2008 09:12 PM

OH THANK YOU for pointing out the user CP option of turning off the avatars. But yeah.. I had to fricken view the forum with one eye looking over my shoulder and keep my fingers poised over Alt-F4.. sheesh.. LOL

Splitime 04-24-2008 09:44 PM

JESUS CHRIST Lola... you are a fucking mod... grow the fuck up. That avatar is so far beyond anything resembling reasonable.

So far beyond funny. I get to add a mod to my block list though... so its something.

Splitime 04-24-2008 09:46 PM

Gdammit... board doesn't allow ignoring/blocking mods.

First off,settle the fuck down.

second, the more pissed off you get,the worse he/they will make it.

Loki047 04-24-2008 10:03 PM

Can we clean the avatars up? Im one for nastiness but I like being able to view this at work without worrying about content.

Or he might actually think about his crap and grow up. Who knows... maybe Rick doesn't really care for this type of Mod'ing and might put his foot down.

One can only hope.

You do have the ability to either stay or leave. It does not matter to me.
I would have to say that the language that you use exhibits a poor lack of self control.
You could have easily PM'd me or E-mailed me to ask kindly to change my avatar. It would have been the "mature thing" to do. Get a grip on yourself.

Splitime 04-24-2008 10:46 PM

You mean more mature than your last avatar? Please.

The word Fuck is quite functional when used the way it was. There isn't a self control issue here... merely a shock/frustration at the level of maturity displayed by a moderator here. If it was Magna... it would be one thing... but a moderator?...

I have come to find myself lowering my expectations of people on here, evidence of why society is so crappy!!

Good thing he wears a hat or we would have to see his balding dome!!

Ben 04-25-2008 08:42 AM

In general, I think we do need to keep things that are not safe for work clearly labeled as such. To include avatars. We're pretty loose and don't want to sensor or moderate matters of taste. But on the same token, we need to be work safe as much as possible unless expressly stated. Going further, I feel that zoom handled himself poorly and has no right to look down his nose at the rest of us "normal" folks. Zoom, that must be an awful high horse, and it's going to hurt a lot if you fall.

zoom2zoom 04-25-2008 02:57 PM

I do agree with you, but I am definitely not one to judge.
