Default What the hell is wrong with you guys?!

Hey guys, I just felt like saying hey since I am new to the Miataturbo.net forums. Originally, I do all my threading on Miata.net, but alot of times there are just too many old guys talking about how they love their floormats...lol. Since my Miata is "heavily" modified, I thought it deserved a spot on here.

Anywayz, I drive a 1997 Mazda Miata, repainted in classic red. It's got plenty of tasteful and practical mods, like rebuilt suspension. Here is what I got so far.

KYB-AGX 8 way adjustables.
FM 1st generation springs.
FM 2nd generation swaybars.
FCM 52mm bumpstops. (these are incredible)
97' M-Edition Alloys, soon to be wrapped in 215/45/15 Toyo T1-R's.
"China-tech" el cheapo strut tower brace.
1200 watt sound system with integrated 8 inch subs in rear deck.
2003 Black NB Leather seats.
Nardi Classico Steering wheel.
Magnaflow Catalytic converter and catback exhaust.
OBX 4-2-1 headers.

And i'm going forced air induction, it's not overwhelmingly powerful, but it should put down around 150-160 rwhp. I got a JRSC supercharger kit with FM Voodoo Box and 62mm 8 psi pulley. It also comes with a MSD ignition retard device.

Now I got a relative question. How in the hell am I going to get an intercooler mounted on this NA Miata? It looks absolutely impossible since I got pop up headlights, powersteering, and air conditioning in the way! It's much easier on the NB 4 sure... Does anybody have any tips or instructions on how to install some charge piping in an NA Miata?

Here are some pictures of my car.

Fixed...

So there's about 3000 threads here about various intercoolers in an NA and one guy who claims they're unnecessary. I wont even say to search because there's probably 2 or 3 current in the last 24 hours.

Basically those guys cut out their headlights and AC and bumper and just run a big fat IC instead of the front of the car. it's pretty neat.

Dude, no BS I saw a BMW 3 series that had a big *** intercooler for a front bumper Friday morning.

I think it belongs to a guy who works at the shop that's next to DIY Autotune.

is that a can of chew in your car? i prefer smoking by far.

cute car btw, could use a paintjob but otherwise it looks great! I think if you hang out for a while you may find that you either love it or hate it, but if you are serious about getting into turbocharging your miata and really understanding what you are doing, this is the place to be. BTW, we have a rather twisted attitude and occasionally use sarcasm, obscinities, and personal attacks to get our points across (and just for fun) so take it in stride, theres some peeps on here who you could really learn from.

btw, not really heavily modified. Almost stock actually

Give the WI a serious look, and routing pipes shouldn't be that hard. The pizzaboxes are a non-issue.

I like your car except for the tails. But whatever cooks your taco man.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS! Thanks for the 17 pictures of a RARE stock looking red Miata at different angles in nature. I really enjoyed the ugly tail lights and steering wheel. THAT IS ALL.

My car looks a lot like yours I guess:

I'm keen to get a JRSC for my 1600 but have a few other things to take care of first. Let me know what you think of the kit!

Also, don't worry about the smart comments, everyone is easy going on here and I think it is a good way to be. Lots of sarcasm is better than lots of bullshit like another larger forum I know of.

Cheers
