91 timing issues, tdc but still no power.

Hey guys been in and out of these forums for a while now but my first post will be today so here I go.

I drive a 91 turbo miata, bought it from a guy out of pheonix around this time last year

Water pump was making a lot of noise so decided this weekend was going to be time to do it, timing belt as well.

Following many instructions on various forums this was a pretty easy task. With how easy it was going to be I didnt think to mark the old timing belt. Get everything to TDC and its good to go.

Yesterday night after I got everything back together, started the car. cb exhaust had a more deep tone to it. Let it warm up, no leaks pulled out of my driveway and absolutely no power, almost stalled with any added throttle.

Check all my vacuum hoses and nothing. Did some research and somehow I must have missed a tooth while doing the timing. Pulled the belts off and covers to find that my timing was still right where I put it. I and E exactly where they should be and crank gear notch facing up.

found this thread https://www.miataturbo.net/general-m...f-tooth-67633/

tried 20 teeth between cams with intake cam back one, car couldnt hold an idle.

tried 18 teeth between cams with intake cam advanced 1 tooth and its runs better then its did "TDC" but still exhaust is really really deep and still less power then before this whole process.

Trying to get any advice I can, Should I try another tooth forward on the intake cam? Should I advance the exhaust cam 1 tooth? Im really lost for what might have gone wrong. Only thing I can think of now is the previous owner fixed a bad belt timing with ignition timing maybe. I will also try and pick myself up a timing light tomorrow.
