Default Track Video & Bluetooth MS3 Questions

So I did a test run with Aidandj's 10Hz GPS unit at the track last weekend. It worked awesome! The Miata was banned to the garage for the track night due to brake issues I discovered at the track the Thursday prior. Anyways, I finally got around to doing the video and have a few questions.

Using:
Aidandj's 10Hz Sender
Samsung Tab 3 7" Tablet
RaceChrono

1. RaceRender - Is this the best option for editing software with GPS data? Usually I edit my GoPro videos in Sony Vegas. However, after some research I realized that I wasn't going to be able to use an advanced editing software like I am used to. I downloaded the free version of RaceRender to try it out. It is simple, but it will work fine for track videos. I can always export the video and drop it into Vegas if I want to get into actual editing. My question is is there any other options out there I should check out before dropping the money on the pro version of RaceRender? Do people have any issues with RaceRender? I know it is a pretty simple tool for video editing, I didn't want to waste money if people knew of better options.

2. Has anyone run a Bluetooth sender from their MS3 to log data? I noticed that RaceChrono has the option for multiple BT devices. I thought it may be nice to show RPMs and Gearing. I figured I would see what people have had success with.

Thanks

Here is my "test" run in my SUV the other day. It looks like my sync is a 10th of a second off. The track was setup and I had some time to kill. I didn't push this car because it is my kid hauler. If I **** up this car, my wife will be less open to spending stupid amounts of money on my Miata. So this is my "Sunday Drive" lapping session to test out the new tech.

Bluetooth from MS3: I doubt this would work. RaceChrono would have to understand the MS serial protocol, which I doubt it does. You would be better taking a log and importing it into racerender.

It should work if you buy Reverents CAN bus device for megasquirt. This allows for standard OBD2 protocol if racerender can use that.

You can import data logs into RaceRender....

Hmm... not sure if I could run an Android log at the same time Racechrono is running though. I could do my laptop, but I would rather not run with that on the track.... or deal with coming up with a way to secure it down.

Yeah, it seemed that a device that sends OBD2 BT would be the way the data gets to the video.
