Why wouldn't be towing your national level CSP on a trailer?

He's an old guy, and flat towing your Miata behind your RV is what old guys do.

Why you mad, bro? I can't find any pics online and I don't think I took any myself before the insurance company came and got the carcass. It looked like a Miata from mid door back and a burnt hot dog from mid door forward. You couldn't tell anything except that it had an engine fire from a pic.

Solid motor mounts are not good in any application for any reason. They will rattle the car apart.

Do torque dampers do any good? OK, those things that look like tiny shock absorbers are probably worthless, but has anyone tried adding any kind of link/whatever to keep the engine & trans from rotating?

I'm pretty sure they make your wallet lighter, thus making your car go faster?

I've never seen any documented anything backing up their use/expense.

I met a Honda guy last night. He said he tracked the car, I asked where? Summit Point? Yes, he replied.

Then when I asked what group he runs in: SSCA, NASA, does he do HPDEs or Time Trials or something. He replied: No I don't compete but it pulled a 11sec 1/4 mile; it has an h22 swap making 250hp all motor.

Honda guys are idiots.

Double post!!!!!

Honda race car see's mechanical over-rev to 9200 rpm all the time.

No problem.

Yay

(Literally, when Michael Galati was driving for us a couple years ago I looked at one of his RPM logs from practice. 9200 rpm on downshifts, twice a lap, every lap...)

Sorry about that Emilio. If you're good at finding the wrong gear them I'm a world-class leader at thread crapping. I'll start my own thread when I figure out how to keep the engine from rotating without resorting to brute force methods like cast iron motor mounts. Then you won't find 2nd when you're looking for 4th.

This car is the ****... I like it more than my supercharged car, but then again one was built by a miata legend, and the other was built by me. so there's the reasoning for the most part haha

My daily is pretty close. After running with the 949 crew at Hallett, my perspective really changed on what makes a great Miata. I plan to build an NA Crusher clone in a couple years and pick up where E left off.
