alternator wiring help
My unknown origin KL came with an internally regulated alternator with 3 terminals on it's plug, whereas my '92 miata alternator is internally regulated with 2 terminals on its plug; aka "3 wire" if you include the large battery wire. I have the wiring diagram for the miata and it's pretty simple. The big wire and one of the terminal wires go to +12v, the last wire goes to the dash indicator light.
I purchased a Ford '97 probe shop manual off ebay and that shows the KL in that year Probe GT should have an alternator like the miata came with, simple. So my overseas KL came with some funky alternator and I don't know how to wire it, any suggestions besides just buying a new '97 probe alternator? Googling "4 wire alternator" doesn't come up with much.
EDIT: seems this may be the wiring for the millenia, 3 wires on the alternator terminal. The miata does not have the black/white wire, I am not sure what that is for or if it will work without it. Seems to me that if the ignition is 'on' that the black/white and the white/green wire should have the same voltage.
Also, pics of the probe alternator on rockauto shows that those have the same plug as my car...I may just try to find a probe alternator at a junkyard or off ebay.

I guess I'll just add another wire to my rats-nest engine bay. It's cheaper than buying another alternator. The one that came on my junkyard engine looks pretty clean, and if it truely is from a millenia then it should be 110amp.
