99 miata fuel inj fuse keeps popping

im at a loss here my fuel inj fuse located in the fuse block under the hood right hand side keeps blowing and i cant figure out whats wrong. I just replaced the transmission (manual). it was working perfectly fine before. any ideas or where you guys would start looking first.

update:
I cut the wire going from the fuse to the main relay and it didnt pop.

I replaced the relay but it still pops.

I checked the fuse block for damage and or corrosion none was found.

Could the ground be causing it to pop? or the white red or white blue wire coming out of the relay be causing it to pop?

Also i noticed that my fuel pump isnt kicking on but it has power.

Checked for chaffed wires in the injector harness. A friend of mine had a car that had rubbed though the injector harness loom and would short out on the rail from time to time blowing the fuse.

Do you have any engine management mods done to the car?

Installed a roll bar?

On my '93, there was a harness going behind the driver's seat which had been worn through after installing my bar and was popping the INJ fuse every time I'd lean back and short the circuit, which was constantly.

Good luck.

Edit - Here's my old thread on it. Some useful tips inside. https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t8018/

i checked the fuel injector harness for damage nothing was found.

I tested the terminal inside the fuse box for voltage its putting out 12.28volts so im pretty sure the incoming power isnt whats making it pop, my guess is its something pass the the wire running from the fuse to the main relay and from there i dont know what to look for.

ok looks like i might have found the problem after tearing the wire harness protectors off and checking through everything, my crank positioning sensor was shorting the circuit.

What i did was put the fuse in touch the wires coming out of the main relay found that the red/white wire coming from it was getting hot. This wire goes to:
Camshaft positioning sensor
Crank sensor
EGR valve
and a bunch of other shit

So after checking the camshaft sensor i moved on to the crank sensor and bingo i had taken the oil pan off aswell and when i reinstalled it i pinched the wire with the oil pan FML.
