Actual temp of air charge as it enters the head???

Anyone have any estimates of how much a hot engine warms the air as it enters the intake manifold before it gets into the head. Obviously there is going to me some dependence on hood venting, etc. However there has to be some reasonable relationship.

Obviously there is a disconnect with the megasquirt MAT correction and it has to be something to do with the temp gradient between where you have your sensor located so it won't heatsoak, and the actual charge temp before it gets into the head.

If we could get a few numbers to throw around, then we might be able to come up with an offset for the MAT correction values that correct Gair to 100%.

If for example there is a 10 degree difference between my AIT reading at the intercooler, and when the air enters the head. I might be able to shift my "ideal" MAT correction table 10 degrees to the left at each point.

Just a thought, I'm going to bed.
