Adjustable Cam Gears?

Looking at getting some adjustable cam gears and need some opinions. Had anyone had any luck with the following:

1 6 1 8L Miata MX5 BP6 BP NB6 2pcs Replacement Aluminum Adjustable Cam Gear Red | eBay - $105

OBX Adjustable Cam Gears 90 97 Mazda Miata 1 8L B6 BP DOHC MX5 MX 5 | eBay - $145

Fidanza 940186 Adjustable Cam Gear for1991-1997 Ford Escort 1.. Autoplicity.com | Discount Performance and OEM Auto Parts, 100% In Stock - $105

I have never heard of the first company "Mirage Power" and I have heard of OBX and Fidanza. They all appear to be made of the same materials. What are my other options without spending an arm and a leg on some like Toda.

My tuner charges $200/hr for his time. I'm not sure that saving $100-200 for cam gears would be worth it, if they slipped and another tune was needed.

And dont forget theres been reports of some of the cam gears breaking, I dont think you want that either. Google around for that I think it was a specific brand that was breaking.

Why do you want adjustable cam gears? To me there are so much better other places to spend money.

There are cases where they are useful...
But the price is not the way to choose between them.
The pesky Fidanza I have (on exh) use non-metric hardware and one Allen head was mangled...

I have spent money in most of the other areas, This is not for a street application, I have access to a dyno and want to get the most out of what I have. Fidanza was going to be my next choice. Does the fidanza one seem cheap? or is it worth getting. I know there are some areas where you dont cut corners and this is one of them, and i am aware of that, I just want to see and hear about my options

If the Fidanza would have metric hardware and all Allen heads would be perfect it would be fine. Material, tolerances and finish are OK.

Wasn't there a forum sponsor making these at one point? I'm trying to recall who.

I just purchased a set of Fidanza cam gears and honestly wasn't too impressed, they are cheep and you'll see why if you buy them. Mine were barely deburred and there were ugly tool marks everywhere.... I ended up deburring, sandblasting and having them anodized bright clear before being happy with them. I've also had a problem with OBX's things not coming deburred... but thats another story.
