Aftermarket steering wheel question
I have a 97 with an airbag, looking at buying an aftermarket wheel next month, my main question is if i do put one in, is there any way i can prevent the airbag light from staying light up constantly afterword? and no im not just gonna pull the bulb out... just saying.

Yeah do a search there is the resistor method and the jumper method. Or the remove the bulb method but the first two will let your passenger airbag still function.

This may be a bit too late, and sorry for bringing up an old post, but taking out the bulb will cause your car to beep 5 times every minute for 25 minutes, every hour. Also, removing the driver side airbag will disable the passenger side as well. Personally, i just let the light flash, but you can always take the light out, and then remove all components of the airbag system under the dash. Great weight reduction mod as well!

I'd be less worried about the bulb and more on the face smacking on the steering w/o air bags. Try to replace your seat belt to ones that don't give in. The ones you have are designed to work together with airbags.
