Default All things turbo in the Seattle area

The Seattle area guys have been doing quite a bit over the past few months and I don't really seeing it stopping any time soon. Everything from drives, tech days, dyno days, beer drinking, etc... This thread should be a good way of sharing some of that along with a throwing out some ideas for the future or anything happening in the Seattle area. We have a couple of things coming up here shortly like a school that a few of us are attending this Saturday as well as another one on the 21st. For now, I'll start with a minute of hooligans from yesterday.

A few pics I took at stops along the way:

TurboRoach arrives:

Huh, whats that in front of Ben's tire?

My pile of horse ****:

A stop along the way, this is after running that curvy road in the video:

I wanted to take more pictures, but I was too busy trying to chase down Ben. Damn my lack of power!

JayL,

Don't see your beast in those pics!

The Portland area guys are still in the closet unfortunately. Some of the CR.net guys in this area go for a drive now and then. I just haven't joined them yet.

What are you talking about, I was in the Audi and it kept up just fine. The miata suffered catastrophic line lock failure yesterday which left me without brakes. So I'm in the middle of pulling the engine to do a few upgrades and also rebuild the line lock.

We've done a few meets with the CR folks, but that's about it. Good people but aren't really about driving their cars, which makes me think they may be future wine and cheese folks when they get older.

I'll be joining up with you guys a lot this summer i'm sure. I spend a lot of time down in that area as you all may or may not know. I usually dont bring the miata unless its really nice out though. Where was that drive?

You guys will have to come up to bellingham for some epic drives this summer. We go on drives with the local car club up Mt. Baker and should usually be wearing helmets.

This needs punctuation to aid my feeble reading comprehension.

Earlier today a few of us took a Novice school offered by the local Alfa Club. It made for a fun day and was a nice preview of our next outing with them on the 21st. Here's a few pictures from today.

No Miata for me today.

Stan's (SKMetalwork's) car is also in pieces so he brought the daily driver.

Ben (90GTK450) had more fun out there than any of us.

So yesterday I joined the Seattle Crew and we went somewhere that I couldn't honestly tell you. I know we were near Bel fair at some point. Me being the shutterbug that I am I had brought my camera and took a ton of photos. (mostly when we were letting our car's rest) this being my first real drive, it was pretty intense, a lot of high speed cornering where the signs said 20-35mph we were double that if not more.

One corner (which Jason did warn me of in not following their lines because my car was not set up like everyones and I am stock) I entered in way too hot and trail braked into it as I started to feel the *** end step on me, I just gave it some gas and i managed not to end up off the road.

I think Jeff just farted as I took that pic

My hickory smoked horse butthole of a car

So I had asked Jeff to do a drive by and as he did, a rock was kicked up and hit me right in the neck.

This picture had me laughing because where I work is right in the back round... ******* SeaRay

Ben waving bye

The red one with the black hood might just be the ugliest Miata I've ever seen.

There aren't many miatas running a turbo that massive. That thing is a stripped/gutted/caged racecar.
