At least this one looks halfway decent. Looks heavy though.

Where did it come from? Don't really like it myself, looks like I'm gonna be buying a lot of NA and NB miatas during my life.

Decent I guess.

More interested in what type of drivetrain.

Looks like a BMW. Wonder if it comes with an in-line 6?

Last I heard, they're talking about a 1.3T SkyActive and are trying to significantly reduce weight. We'll see. At least a year out from truth.

I would consider a brand new Miata assuming they had a stripped down "R" model that wasn't just an upgraded wood steering wheel and body kit.

Its not really an ND concept. its an artist who took the Shinari concept and turned it into a roadster.

Anyways, its a couple of months old.

It looks like a Scion or Hyundai roadster concept...definately not Mazda Miata style.

Just came in here to say that. However, I LOVE the Shinari

If they meet or get close to their weight goals, and it is has a good engine, and it's not too ugly, then it should be a great car.

Stating the obvious?

If they can really get that weight down . . . may have to go visit a Mazda dealer. I'd be interested in an R package too -- although things like that normally don't come out until the 2nd or 3rd year of a generation.

We'll see.

It doesn't matter what they do. I don't see myself dropping $25-27K for a 4 cylinder 2-seater convertible EVER.
