Anybody have aftermarket power windows?

i know this is stupid, and i wish i just had the original rollers, but the previous owner decided to go all luxury and shit, and install an aftermarket power window setup. Has the mazda switches and stuff, but i have no idea how this was all wired. Has anyone here done an aftermarket setup? and if so, any problems with it? my damn windows wont do ANYTHING, and i cant hand crank them, because of the swap.

:crx:

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
and no... im not gonna buy new damn doors. lmao

I believe its the setup from mossmiata, if that makes any difference

There are enough people parting out Miatas finding a set of manual regulators and glass should be easier than fixing the aftermarket setup might be.

Putting stock regulators, channels and glass isn't that hard. I think the hardest part is keeping all of that black sealant from getting everywhere.

yeah... that black crap is a pain in the ass.... if its just the regulators, that would be easy... idk if it runs relay switches or not... i cant find them anywhere if so. if it did have relays, that would be nice and cheap.... i wish i were the original person who installed it. thats what i hate about buying cars used.

actually... when i hit the switches, all the dash lights and stuff dim, and RPM's dip... so, im assuming maybe jammed regulators, because the load would draw from the alternator if the motors were stuck... i just dont get why both would go out..

I am pretty sure good-win-racing sells some as well...

I'd suggest taking the door panel off first and looking at what the regulators look like. It's possible that they're of the slip on variety and you can just pull them off and find/install some manual rollers. Just my $.02

that would be nice. I'll have to check that out. i havent actually messed around inside the doors yet. just been messing with/testing the switches, and looking for relays, and how this crap is wired up
