Default Forgot to install the gasket between top hat and chasis mounting

I was putting a my strut back on the car and totally forgot to put the gasket that goes between the tophat and the chassis mouting point back in. How bad is this? Can I just leave it like this without it?

Congrats, your car is now .001 grams lighter, and the weight savings probably saved .000001 seconds off your 1/4 mile time. They are indeed worthless, but I'm guessing the noise only comes if you clean both surfaces perfectly, a little dirt and grime will substitute for the 'gasket' perfectly.

My buddy tossed his, and it squeaked like it was something to strive for. I left two of mine out once, and didn't realize it for a week until I found them sitting in the pile I had left in the shop floor, lol. Obviously your mileage my vary

Just hope you cleaned the surfaces well, or els you will have to deal with squeaks and pops from the metals moving against each other. Should be a big deal though.

Noise is the only issue for the gaskets. If it bothers you, get a louder exhaust.
