Anyone hang a Raceonusa front clip??

Getting the raceonusa front clip (the one with the hole between the markers) and was hoping someone has/had any experience with them. I called to ask about mounting points but the dude couldn't tell me anything. I was just hoping to know if I needed the OEM mounting peices... that would be an easy install, but these kit's prove nothing's easy to get them in proper position...

That's ugly as fuck. Does that pos bumper take a giant SD card?

It might get an F for style... but it should cool well. Was this or cutting a hole in the stock clip. You need to Hustle your ass over here to Barber motorsports park, I want to see if you drive as well as you talk! Really, I just want to see you beat up on some of the GT2's and vettes here...

I assume you've decided that increasing frontal area will create a pressure differential and "push" more air through the radiator?

lollers

Gene: See this thread regarding increasing frontal inlet area, the advice and testing comes from some of the best.

I was going to put the oil cooler there. I don't have any good place other than triple stacking it between the intercooler and radiator. So you saying put the $400 (after shipping) to something better? This is a track only car, I all I hear is about the temp issues on a turboed miata. I've installed the Mtuned reroute kit and larger (godspeed) radiator...

Now that is interesting... so why do we have so much overheating issues with the stock opening in the bumper? I guess it's saying it's too large?

I was hoping to add some brake ducting on the other 'side' holes. I'm not doing time trials, just track days... but still, money put to something else is better... like a LSD!

I assume this the design the thread is referring too? Need to order my rims from Emilio soon...

There's a (if not a few) thread on here that discusses all this. What it comes down to is the pressure on the other side of the exchangers- the pressure differential from the frontside to the backside. Opening up the front like that is like sticking a parachute on the front- a giant wind brake. The better option is to send the air away from the front and sides, then focus on removing the pressure under the hood, in the engine bay.

If you look around here you'll see a lot of cars with stock openings in the front and holes in the hood. Search for extractor and you'll see results and see installations- it works and it's a lot cheaper than your nose. Also look for some threads that show mods to the under tray and extensions. It's all here. :D

Thanks for the info, I didn't search for this info as it was not what I was looking for, BUT it is very good to know but unfortunately it may be too late as my guy might have ordered the clip already...
