Planning on getting the HDHCHTDD bar next month, but like everything I do, I have to be different....well almost since its already been done, lol! I kinda like the look and idea of having an extra bolt in bar going across the passenger seat when its just me in the car. I have NO idea where I found these pics and these are the only three that I had saved when I came across the car. I would love to get a few more pics of this bar, particularly the mounting points on the bar and on the floor.....Anyways, figured someone else might remember where theres some info on this car. Thanks!

Damn, just checked their site and could'nt find too many good pics showing how the bar was installed...I'll have to check on car domain to see if this kid is on there (Brandon Pina). If anyone has any other info, advise, or pics please post up! |
Im pretty sure there are videos of it on youtube.

Correct me if Im wrong but I doubt there would be too many people lining up to ride shotgun in that.

It's not Kelly's company, nor is it his car....but all you gotta do is go to flipsidecustoms.com and go to customer cars to see it :P |
That flange for the extra bolt-in bar looks like a fabulous place to crack your head open from EITHER seat! I don't think I'd wanna ride in that thing even with a helmet. Bar is real perdy though.
Not anti-roll bar or anything, I have one in my car. Just commenting on the attachment point. |

I would put the attachment point offset towards the passenger side so it would be no where near my head and prolly rig up a foam cover to go with the standard hard dog cover...

+1 I like the idea, not the execution. Has me thinking though. Chassis stiffening is about #3 on my endless list of things to get done. |
What about moving it to the diagonal bar? Wouldn't provide quite the same amount of stiffening, but would be more than you would have without it, and it would be far enough back under the upper horizontal bar that I wouldn't worry about hitting my head on it. I would hope your head wouldn't end up back that far, under the roll bar anyway. I like that bar overall though. Integrated harness bar, those little gusset bars, the plate that surrounds the seatbelt tower area. Good design, except for the above said issue.

Hmmm. Good idea! That kinda solves the only glaring issue... |
