Hey guys got a question for those who are into the Miata audio systems
My old speakers are bad and I need to replace them, what are some suggestions, also I was lookin at the clearwater speakers
http://clearwateraudio.com/cwc1.html - are they good? Or is it a waist of money? I'm liking the fact they will fit for sure, but I don't want to be ripped off... I Got the Dow, just that I don't want to buy them and find out a pair of pioneers cost 80 bucks less with higher bass and treble
If there is already a discussion like this please point me to it. But I haven't found one yet.

Subscribed for info. Good sound quality will give me an erection, but I'd rather sit in silence than deal with bad sound quality.

I have the 8" Clearwater comps in my car and they sound pretty excellent. I haven't heard the 6.5s, though.

I tend to like CDTs and if they fit, you can probably get them for cheaper, and i guarantee they will blow the Clearwaters out of the water if you power them properly.

Polk Audio DXI650s. $100 at Best Buy. 60w RMS rated power handling, so you can power them with an amp if you need even more volume. They sound excellent compared to the Alpine Type S components I used to have. More bass, and clearer highs.

8" speakers would require modification to the door to fit in an NA.

Thanks guys I think I'm going to take a look at best buy.. I'm considering the polks, I still want to know if anyone's got those clearwaters tho, how are they?
