Wet Feet
Sometimes (always lately, but only sometimes last year) after it rains there is standing water in the driver's footwell of my '02. I assume it is just some clogged drain. Where are the drains on the NBs, and which ones would cause water to fill the footwell? I need to fix this, since my car now smells bad because of it.
If it's not just a clogged drain, what else should I check?

When that happened to my wife's old NA, it was because I screwed up the rain rail install when I replaced the top. It leaked into the footwell so bad there was standing water when it rained.
I was very close to selling the car at the time, so that floor received a few more drain holes. Problem solved. (or band-aided)
I wouldn't do that to a car I cared about, though.

Just sharing my experience. Your mileage may vary.
Hope you get it figured out, though. Wet car = not cool. That smell is awful. I need to replace my top and just can't seem to find the right hard top yet. I shudder when I hear rain.

I just checked the drains and the ones in front seem to be clear, but I found some rubber tube ones at the front corners of the top (when it's down) that were full of standing water (hasn't rained in two days), and they dumped a bunch of water out when I poked the coat hanger down from the top, so hopefully that helps the situation. Now if I could only get the floor to dry before the next rainstorm!
