Nice and quick. About a week ago, we had alot of rain, alot-lot of rain. My garage floods, no big deal, I clean up around the cars. I jack mine up to get ready to install my enthuza exhaust. I pull of the old cat(set on loosely just to hold the downpipe up) and water comes out.

My AEM UEGO got wet. Is it worth trying to fix/repair/hope & pray or should I jsut invest in a new one.

Are you sure its ruined?

A lot of the exhaust gases are actually water vapor, so its designed to come into contact with water (even if it is very hot and vaporized water)
But I suppose being submerged in liquid water may do something different.

Only the sensor got wet?

You can get replacement sensors over the whole thing in case you were not aware.

They have a special encoded sequence that is shared by the sensor and gauge, so you have to use the same sensor with the same gauge forever.
If you try to hook a different sensor up it will open a temporal vortex and the universe will be transported to a different dimension where hondas are fast and miatas are driven by hetrosexuals.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I'll start the car tomorrow and see if the sensor is fubar'd. If it is, i'll just swap it or wire my own replacement in.

I was pretty bummed at first but, the price has gone down alot on the AEM's and i'm glad that nothing else was ruined in the flood........Florida Keys

shake it out well and let it hang dry with the tip down then id give it power and let it sit for ~20 min. see if that makes it start responding.

Well at least you found the problem before you applied power and set the sensor trying to brew coffee in your downpipe. I doubt the controller would have liked that.

I think the UEGO uses the same bosch sensor as the LC1. If so you can get a replacement for $79 from diy Bosch LSU4.2 5-wire, wide-band O2 sensor DIYAutoTune.com

I remember reading somewhere it was the Bosch 17014 part number. Either way the pic looks EXACTLY like what is connected to my LC-1 controller.

If you can pull the pins on the half round LSU4.2 and use the old square AEM connector, it'll work.
