I got 12k out of my azenis and ~13k out of my kooks...both beat the **** up, like I said on miata.net, the RE-01s might be a good choice since its a freak tire that gets more mileage than the other two...BUT its prolly to narrow to fit on a 8" rim...which, well, sucks.

www.vulcantire.com

I bought alot from them and they have been a great company to deal with. I think the 615's are a steal for the price and performance.

I've run those tires, and my sister has the T1R for the street. The T1R buries the MX in grip, but the mx lasts a good bit longer. I'm debating these two street tires right now too, and I'm leaning toward the T1R because my street tires will probably get hard before they wear out considering I drive the car like 3 days per month.

I'd also like to throw the 'kook Ventus RS2 into the mix. It looks like the 205/50 will fit a 15x8

you will not get 20K out of the azenis, you can easily get over 10K though, as long as you dont do burn outs or drifts around every turn, im on my third set in 40K miles...and this set is practically still new...If you drive easy you may be able to get 20K out of them, but i highly doubt you can resist the stickyness flying around turns
Ben, you saw how i drive, mine will last at least 10K no sweat and im not nice to them, i do rotate them every 3-5K miles though

I had a set on my car a year or so ago...great tires, liked rain...aren't affected by heat...for a daily/street. I'd rock them over the azenis.

one more choice:
BFG T/A KDW 205/50/15 300 AA A
Set of (4) in stock at CostCo right now for $400 installed incl roadhazard and free rebalancing
I'm leaning towards those right now. Opinions?
Remember, *street* tire.

Faded92MX5 had KDWs on his car...I was fairly impressed with them. Not the stickiest, but should be a good street tire.

If they are street tires why do you care?

I have POS es100's for the street, and I'm getting read to spend on some new V710's for the track.

That's the point; I don't care that much as long as they're decent in terms of performance, reasonable cost, and fit the wheels.

I'll borrow them in the meantime then.

Not the stickiest compared to what? Azenis? I'm OK with 90% performance if I can get double the life.
