Big setback in my build...

Unfortunately, due to some unexpected surprises that had happened in the past couple weeks, my turbo miata project is going to be put away for a while... im selling the miata but I'm keeping the fmII kit, wheels and coilovers for future project... its a shame because to be honest, i was really looking forward to some wrench work. I haven't had a chance to build anything since my sti wagon...

docdrey 04-08-2010 03:44 AM

actually do be honest.. when i'm going to do it again i think ill go back to a na but start with building the bottom end first... the kit i have is for a nb will it still bolt up?

Turbo_4 04-08-2010 06:49 AM

Why

Wow....that was one of the most informative posts I have ever read on the internet. Thank you for fully disclosing all the details of the bad news and not treating MT like a fucking twitter account. :loser:

You sell everything 5 minutes after buying it bro. This is nothing new.

docdrey 04-08-2010 09:18 AM

yeah i figured id tell you guys a sob story and you guys would chew me out for it not being a legitimate reason for ditching the project. For my sake ill keep it for personal reasons

I had a guy call me yesterday for it and asked me to drop the price. i told him id do it if i kept wheels and coil-overs.

i wish the car set me back a couple grand but unfortunately for me, it is not

musanovic 04-08-2010 10:00 AM

what are you talking about. did you take some estrogen pills????

18psi 04-08-2010 10:08 AM

Its typical for young russian guys to buy a car just to resell it a month later. 99% of them do exactly that. They absolutely 100% CAN NOT COMMIT TO ANYTHING FOR LONGER THAN A FEW WEEKS.

I've yet to see someone besides myself and a couple of my close friends actually commit to a car and keep it for a significant ammount of time (at least longer than a year).

That's why from the very 1st day when Dre got a miata I KNEW 100% he would not keep it. The next one he won't keep either. And the next one. And the next one. That's just the way it is haha...

I've had SOOOOO many arguments with a few of the younger guys that call me for car advice about this I'm already sick and tired of it: I don't even want to give advice on a car to someone that can't keep it longer than a month. If you don't care about cars to keep them then you shouldn't even mod them.

What kind of FM turbo kit do you have btw Dre? There's a local guy looking for a turbo setup

In other news, I'm debating whether I should have another cup of coffee. I'm not only lucky enough to have two mugs to choose from, but we have decaf and regular. The regular is Columbian, not sure on the decaf. We also have cocoa, sweet.

18psi 04-08-2010 10:22 AM

He uses cum:giggle:

Sparetire 04-08-2010 10:25 AM

WTF.

This si the lamest thread in ever. To the point that I am not going to fix that typo.

First off, you are telling a fucking sob story already so man up and bitch properly. This suffering in silence while pointing out that you are suffering in silence is bitch shit from VH1 or MTV or something.

Secondly, decaf? Are you fucking kidding me? You know what I drink when I dont want any more buzz? WATER. Fuck.

I do not. I'm all natural, I don't even wear makeup.

18psi 04-08-2010 10:36 AM

not even eye liner or lipstick? what kind of miata owner ARE you?

Braineack 04-08-2010 10:37 AM

I'm a natural beauty, whatcanIsay?

webby459 04-08-2010 10:39 AM

Good idea, Braineynutz. Chemical hair loss FTL.

Side note, I've switched from Speed Stick antiperspirant to organic deodorant. It doesn't work nearly as well, but I think it's better for the body. Strange chem on your lymph nodes not such a good idea, doncha think? Problem is, I usually end up stinking by the end of the day. Oh well.

Braineack 04-08-2010 11:05 AM

That's what you get hippie.

sixshooter 04-08-2010 12:21 PM

GTFO really? I thought sure you used product in your hair! Some people are just blessed with awesome natural bedhead. U R soooo lucky.

I have a story for you:
My cat has fuzzy nuts. He licks them a lot.
The end.

Braineack 04-08-2010 12:23 PM

i tend to stay well groomed.

...So if you ever wonder why I am such an asshole to the n00bs on here or CR. Shitfuck, even on my local forum, I don't talk to n00bs much because of this trend of getting a cheap Miata and thinking it'll be some revelation to their car driving experience or something when in fact it takes just as much time/money as any other car to improve upon. Most end up bitch, complainging and reverting to "I'll just go back to Hondas" because they're scared shitless to learn something new. I say drive these kinda people out as they're useless anyway.

OH SHIT!!!! Nevermind then dude, I apologize. Family>car any day.

That's what you should've said in the first place. It could have been a much better thread:noob:

Sparetire 04-08-2010 02:17 PM

That sucks. It is a pretty damn good reason to sell the car.

Did they do a coolant re-route and a new clutch while they were in there? Best time to do it really.

If you look in that picture you can tell he is just hoping a hot nurse is going to lean over and check his vital signs......

Kidding man. Seriously, post OP care for that is so well figured out by now that he will be fine.

FRT_Fun 04-08-2010 04:51 PM

sixshooter 04-08-2010 05:28 PM

Wow. My uncle had a transplant done, and aside from some hicups getting th anti-rejection drugs dialed in its went really well. They are so damned good at this stuff anymore its pretty amazing. Which is a huge comfort when your dad is plugged into all that stuff.

Does hospital food still suck?

timk 04-08-2010 06:48 PM

It's just a car, you can get another one when the family stuff is sorted. I have trouble holding onto cars too, here they are fscking expensive to buy and own. Not really essential unless you are 'into' cars anyway.

All the best with op and recovery.
