bolt size help

What size are the valve cover bolts?
m6x1.5x30?

and the crank accessory pulley is also
m6x1.5x10?

I can't remember the thread pitch, and never knew the length. Any thoughts on where I can get cool looking shit like anodized green, to show my gay pride?

and what size is the hose for the heater core? 1" or 7/8"? I need to buy a bung for my heater core.

valve cover = m6x1.0x45 if I recall... I'll go measure one in a minute and edit.

crank accessory is m6x1.0x1- I think, but I'm not sure on the length. I could be 15.

I don't think m6x1.5 is used anywhere on the car.

has anybody tried that metalcast paint from duplicolor? It's supposed to make chrome look anodized. :dunno: but if it worked, it could be done on the OE 1.6 cam cover bolts.

valve cover bolts measured @ 43mm... 45 should work fine.

heater hose ID was .625, so 3/4" bung should be about right.

thanks guys.

I'm not that worried about the color, so I'm going to get some black allen bolts.

Get a 5/8" bung for the heater core hose.

the water pump pulley bolts are more noticeable than the crank pulley bolts but if you do them don't go longer than about 10mm or they will hit and prevent the pulley from spinning.

I'm just trying to order all this shit that I can't take a chance on when I get home.

5/8 or 3/4? I assume its a better idea to get the bigger one and stretch the hose?

don't go too big, it might tear instead of stretch

but you know that already...;)

I wish there were a shop online where I could get all this crap, instead of 5-different places.

use a good clamp and the 5/8 will be much easier to get the hose on and off of behind the head.
