Bosch 15330 O2 Sensor - Am I a derp?
 

Had slight hesitation around 3k, plugs/coils/etc new, and I had overheated in the past, so I thought maybe o2 sensor was at fault, it's who knows how old, might as well grab a new one for $30 and see if it helps.

Well, it did help, for awhile, and then I started throwing p1170. Sure enough, if I monitor with an OBD2 reader, when I start it occasionally hangs at 0 or 0.9V and stays there.

Returned it to amazon, got another one, figured it's just a dud. The new one is already showing a steady 0V and appears busted.

Did I really fail to install two sensors correctly, do these bosch sensors suck, or am I just one unlucky SOB?

Can't really fuck up the install unless you dipped the element in shit. The bosch sensors I have had the same issues. Denso would be better, I think the next time mine goes out I will get that.

Thanks, that's what I thought too. I'll just go back to my non-code-throwing but possibly-causing-intermittent-3k-rpm-slight-hesitation o2 sensor for now. I plan to go LC1/megasquirt/turbo eventually, so I didn't want to dump much money into this.
