Brakes went out
Luckily that building caught me.
http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/car-...tl-564714.html A driver on Monday afternoon plowed her car into the front of Green's Package Store on Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown Atlanta. Around 3:15 p.m., the driver crashed her car into the front window of Green's Package Store at 737 Ponce de Leon Avenue, Atlanta Police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said. According to WSB TV, the driver of the white Mazda Miata said her brakes went out. This is the second time the same woman has crashed into the store. |
Someone has a grudge....
|
Brakes "went out" on a less than 4 year old car? I doubt it.
|
the driver crashed her car |
lolol
|
Usually these kind of people have their accidents on the way home from the "package" store.
|
Perhaps her boyfriend now her ex.
|
I guess she thought it was a drive-thru package store?
|
Sounds like a cheesy name for a medical marijuana store.
|
When will GM fine Mazda for this brake problem which they knowingly perpetuated?

On a lighter note, my throttle stuck in 1st gear and after some tire smoke and noise, I turned the car off. The police were not happy with me and made sure to watch me push the car off the road before they got out, questioned me, and threatened me with a citation.

Holy chit, how'd you do that?
That really woke me up. The cop threatened to write an exhibition of acceleration citation, then another cop showed up. Finally they decided to let me out of the 20-questions game and go back to pushing my car while they ran radar because that is what the police are for, not serving or protecting. |

Well, she's a woman so she already has a history of mental illness.
|
Ah damn again! Why she got to hit the ATL liquor store like that?

For some reason the actual throttle assembly was stuck open and after whacking it its decided to function normally. I lubed it up and hopefully that fixes it. It also made my tach not work and the needle was pointing down...so I had to open it up and twist it back around.

Similar thing happened to me. When I first built my sideways intake mani the progressive linkage on the TB hit something and got jammed wide open. shutting the car off while it's bouncing off the rev limiter made the tach go the wrong way and zero out pointing down. Like you I had to take the cluster apart adn spin the needle around.
No cops though. Wondering if your tach looked like the following before I disassemble mine and reposition the needle. Only recent mod is COPS but I took apart the ignitor, to verify the white tach wire was still connected and it is. EDIT : Tach works in tunerstudio Car off / key out of ignition Attachment 193573 Car off / key in ignition in acc on position Attachment 193574 car on Attachment 193575 |
yep that's exactly what mine looked like.
