im going to be in the market for an better, stronger clutch. i was looking at clutchmasters FX300 as to what i want. but for $577 is it really worth that much dough? or can i get almost to exact what that one has to offer with a different brand, i did do a search for that clutch and clutchmasters but only came up with mostly squat. any help?

If whatever clutch you are buying is not coming from ACT, FM, or 949 Racing then it is the wrong clutch.

it blows my mind that there are still people out there SOOO ignorant, that they will literally ignore the absolute 3-4 of the BIGGEST miata companies in existence and somehow wind up considering brands that are not only un-popular, but downright barely known.

Seriously.

I'm amazed at the lack of research and plain ignorance.

Educate yourselves people. It will benefit you in the end. I promise.

You know, I'm not really into noob bashing. But this guy is creating all kinds of worthless threads on subjects that are extremely well covered with even a modicum of searching.

Tired of it. SEARCH NOOB!

If you can't find what you're after, then post. The fact that you found squat on the clutch you were researching should tell you all you need to know.

And, for heaven's sake, capitalize and punctuate! Show a little respect for the readers.

I can only give one prop for this post, but it deserves like 457.

So far you have asked us about your crankshaft, brakes, and now clutch. You clearly haven't performed a single search or read anything except anyone's direct replies to you. STFU and start reading or you won't last much longer. I have no power to ban you, just letting you know this **** is not acceptable here.

Hmmmm . . . .

And to add to FM and 949:

Trackspeed Engineering
BEGI
Rosenthal
Goodwin
GoMiata
Moss Motors
etc.

Did you know that we have a sponsors section?

Yo!

it wasnt about my crankshaft. i was curious about if anyone had played with a bp01 crank since all i know about it is that its lighter. so i asked a question thinking that since these cars are mostly tracked and some people like to bend the rules with "lighter stock parts"

brakes, yeah that was a brain fart, i think i admitted to that.

clutch, i just was curious about other peoples experiences with ones that got, looking for other people's opinions.

i have searched but mainly i think i just need to refine what i am looking for

Clutchmasters makes good clutches as a rule, but there's no reason to use something other than the readily available clutches that the vast majority of the Miata world has used with overwhelming success.

ive had this one since i turbo'd my car. it's lasted a long time but i dont abuse my car at all from a stop. I would not trust this clutch for consistent hard launches or track.
