Can the fuel pump from my EVO VIII work in the Miata?

Hi,
I was looking through the many boxes of stuff left from previous cars/mods. I ran across a stock fuel pump from my '03 EVO... I wonder if it would work with my '92 Miata... I like the idea of recycling stuff...

I'm shure it would. Not shure on the flow of it but ya, with a little of wire and bracket fabing I dont see why not.

it definatelly has a better flow rate.

Oh, no doubt. The stock fuel pump on the EVO is good enough for the 270 FWHP claimed by Mitsu... It's gotta be loads better that the OEM 1.6 Miata pump (at least for flow capacity)

silver1992b did you but it in and how good does it work, thinking of doing this fuel pump swap my friend has one wasting away.

yes, just mate the pump motor to the miata hardware. I'd get everything as close to fitment as possible, then find a machine shop and have it braised.

that'd be 270 AWHP not FWHP, i came from the DSM world just had to say something about that one.

I've got a supra pump in my current miata and had a saleen mustang pump in my race car. All that really matters is that it will fit like it's supposed to.
