Can somebody Measure
a brand new 1.6 OEM clutch disc thickness for me? I need to see how worn some of the ones I have around are before using or discarding them.
Thanks in advance. |
Shoot I wanted to know this when I last replaced my clutch. I think my 6-puck ebay brand was .440"...ish

from the service manual:
Measure the thickness of the lining at the rivet head on both sides with vernier calipers. Replace the clutch disc if less the minimum Minimum thickness: 0.3mm (0.012in) |
I saw that in the service manual, just wondering where they start out.

according to a conversation i had with a tech from Spec, the OE 1.8 discs start out at ~.310 - .320"
dunno if that helps at all |

That makes much more sense, although still incredibly small.
