Default First nice day to drive!...

So it hit 47*F today here and roads where dry. So I pulled the miata out for a drive to still break it in . The engine now has a 56 miles on it!. And some new things happen when I drive it and its still N/A. like...
It was backfiring when I deaccelerate from high RPM on stock exaust.
The coilovers felt not right but kinda soften up after some turns.
The shifter was rough and notchy with new oil in it.
The speedo was twitching at 40-60 but then smooths out.
And how do I get the Air-Bag light to stop if i have a racing wheel.

So any ideas to these toss them up.

Break the engine in proper way by running the **** out of it? That's what I'd do.. Can't help you on the rest.

Maybe everything is just fine and it just feels weird because you haven't driving it since last year lol, or maybe something is wrong.

The shifter was rough and notchy with new oil in it.

mine is the same way, but only when cold,
im thinking i dont have enough fluid in it, or its too thick

The speedo was twitching at 40-60 but then smooths out.

Umm what if you kinda have ripped all the wiring out for the air bag?.. i guess im going to have to remove the bulb from the dash? haha Oh and what I thought was the right timing I found out that i was at 6* no wonder it felt boggy till 4500. I moved it to the 12* for now so it will drive a little more smooth. I did have some pics of the nice day but camra is done for it think

It dipped into the 60's down here in Tampa last week. It is beautiful day out, about 73, breezy. My top is down, has been for the last month or longer, but I drove the Cooper to get the boy from school.

It's been wavering between the upper 60s and the low to mid 70s here in Vista for the past few weeks. There were a couple of days back in January when I had to put the top up, damn terrible weather...

It was another nice day here and i noticed something about when the snow melt in minnesota... People drive retarded! Everyone just speeds and take corners like it isn't sandy at all... Just had to let that out. Anyone else see this?
