My Godspeed finally **** the bed. Mishimotos are only $240 (before shipping and whatnot) on modacar.com. I don't really know where else to look (besides Ebay at the el-cheapo end of the spectrum and FM at the high end) for a quality rad.

Suggestions?

Installed mine today. They feel really solid, 100% bolt in, took 15 minutes including draining the coolant. Put 2 12" fans on mine and used the stock connectors to wire them in.

Can I ask what happened to your godspeed? I have been running mine for 2 years without a problem and was wondering what types of issues I may need to plan for. Also is there any reason why you just are not buying another godspeed?

It developed a pinhole leak in CA and was fine until today, when I fixed my boost leak and proceeded to test the integrity of my repair. It split a little bigger and is now spraying the hotside parts with coolant.

Seriously though, I don't think there's really anything wrong with them, but there is a bit of a gamble involved with cheaper parts. I was just unlucky this time.

I think I'm going to go with a Koyo 39mm. I keep reading that it requires a special cap, but I don't see any caps listed on koyorad.com, so I ask ye, oh miataturbo.net brethren:

Where can I buy my Koyo radiator and its cap for a decent price? (other than ebay because it's being glitchy right now)

My mishimoto is fine, although I also developed a leak with it. I believe it was from when I tried and failed to make a fan shroud from a steel drip pan, which was incredibly sharp. $35 later it was cleaned, repaired, and pressure treated at a radiator shop 15 minutes from my house, one day turn around. I was happy with that.

It dawned on me to check 949racing, so I did, and they have the radiator and the cap...

...but I can't get the site to put things in my "cart", I can only make a "list" and then can't seem to purchase the items I want to buy. Weird.

I think aluminum radiators are over-rated, it is better to just invest in a very good fan and thats it.

So.. for the shrouding.. BSR doesn't seem to carry the plastic everyone's been using here, or maybe I just suck at finding it. It's not "black plastic valence skirting", is it?

My friend just bought one for his Supra. It's leaking in so many places it's ridiculous. Mishimoto actually sent him a new one and didn't even ask for the old one back. All he had to do is send them pictures of all the leaks.

same thing happened to my friend's miata mishimoto radiator. the quality of it is very poor. also, i was comparing my FAL fans to mishimoto fans and it's like night and day difference.
