car doesnt start

i put in the newer long nose crank 1.6 ,hooked up my turbo and the other stuff.used the new motor coilpack but used the old coilpack harness because the new ones sensor was cracked.im not getting spark from the pack.the car cranks .does anyone have a diagram or picture of the bottom side of a coil pack to see if i wired it right.also the plug the pack plugs into in the main harness makes my test light go on when its cranked.also can the cas sensor through off the pack.

You've got two trigger posts and two 12v+ posts. I'm not aware of any sensors on the coil pack, so I'm assuming you meant connector.
Here's a photo of the coil pack bottom. The 12v+ is the big post- the lead with the black heat shrink that covers the terminal and the other is the trigger.
Here's diagram of my DIS2 wiring for reference.

are the 2 12v (red) wire further towards the back.

at the connector for the coil pack ,when its cranked i counstant power signal a ground just no indermident signal.could it be the ecu.swap out coils same thing

Look at the post size- the big ones are 12v+ the small ones are trigger. You can't put the small nuts on the big posts. hth

yea i noticed that i was hoping i was wrong .also swaped in my old coil still dont spark.get power to the bottom .almost like it has no ecu signal.

Start with the basics. Is the connection to the CAS and AFM good? If you junt TEN and GND will it start?

m2cupcar 10-17-2006 10:36 PM

Since it's torn apart - hook a meter (or test light) to ground and your trigger (plug wires removed) and crank. That'll tell you if you've got a signal coming to the coil from the ecu. If you do, and there's 12v to power post, then it's the coil, wires or plugs. If you don't work backwards from there. That would include the CAS and ignitor circuits. Could be something simple that you forgot to reconnect?

turbopezz 10-18-2006 12:03 AM

im not getting a signal.have the 12v to the post..finally go the oil lin and put it on at like 1 in the morning on the street.today i was trying to start her even thoe it was raining about after and hour i went in.mean while some mazda tech that was driving by with some guy up the block stoped.he said my :crank angle sensor was off.i try telling him it has a cas sensor .but every one has there opionin especially when youre only 18 yrs old.

turbopezz 10-18-2006 12:05 AM

i would check the ignitor plugs now but its pouring.

how the hell do you people work on cars without a garage?

m2cupcar 10-18-2006 10:55 AM

I have a garage and when it's pouring out and I'm working on the car my legs and feet get wet. ;)

A more simple approach might be to return your original items to the install. If it doesn't work then it's most likely something you've done (or haven't done) during your install. Take my word- electrical problems are usually stupid simple.

turbopezz 10-19-2006 12:41 AM

:bigtu: yea.i used the origonal cas sensor and was able to get her to run.but i wired in supra 440 cc with resistors(10ohm50wats)an now im not getting fuel.i get fuel to the rail just cant get through injectors also wired it up for sequential injection.im running a link ecu and turned it on in the keypad.wasint getting a signal from the ecu to the injectors from the sequantial #4 and 3 maybe i screwed up on the crimp connactors or diddnt place it in the ecu right .i ll find out tomorrow.:sadwavey: maybee the injectors are shoot

m2cupcar 10-19-2006 09:06 AM

So you fixed your first problem and now have another?

turbopezz 10-19-2006 05:15 PM

im done, just have to fine tune it.i thought i mesed up on the wiring of the injectors and ressistors but i didnt.
so i took off the fuel rail and noticed fuel was at the top of the injectors but wouldnt flow..then swap in the unmodid injector harnes and 1.6 injectors and the same thing happend it wouldnt flow.then remebered that my friend connected the lines.switched them up and it started right up.then put in the 440s and it statred right up.

m2cupcar 10-19-2006 08:54 PM

some friend! ;)

turbopezz 10-20-2006 01:06 AM

yea i called him up to bust his balls.
