Car will not idle -- Fuel leaks thru FPR
2 Attachment(s)
My setup is as follows..
AEM EMS4 -- Tune file and harness from TSE ID 1000 Injectors LS Truck coils Synchronic FPR Vishnu Dual feed fuel rail AEM High flow fuel pump 99 Crank and Cam sensors (Single nub on the Intake cam gear) Supermiata Damper 12+1 Trigger wheel EFR 6258 (IWG) Treadstone Performance FMIC Turbosmart Manual Boost controller MAF -- Deleted (harness is used for IAT) Jumper in diagnostic connector from FP to Ground Car only runs when gas pedal is depressed -- won't idle. I think I have set the FPR to 40-43 PSI (I did this but adjusting the nut which ignition on -- not sure if this how its done). I have also not synched timing for EMS4 (not sure if is needed or how to do it) Fuel leaks thru a vent on the side of the Synchronic FPR when ingnition is turned on or car is being cranked. See attached picture. Any help where I should start troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. |
You should start by replacing your FPR, which is clearly faulty. Our maps are set up for standard '99 3-tooth cam wheels, so get one of those as well. Once your car idles, you can take care of syncing timing - with our 12+1 settings the timing is rarely off by more than a degree or two.
